About MortgageExplained

MortgageExplained is an independent UK mortgage information and introducer website, owned and operated by Muswell Rose Ltd. It explains how mortgages work in plain English, then introduces you to a regulated mortgage broker who can advise you. It is not a lender and not an advice firm.

What we are

We are a plain-English mortgage information site with a single purpose: explain the real answers, then connect you to a regulated broker when you want a mortgage arranged. We focus hardest on the situations the high street handles worst, self-employed and complex income, company directors, contractors, buy-to-let, and the remortgage-or-product-transfer decision.

What we are not

We are not a lender, and we are not a regulated advice firm. We do not recommend a specific mortgage for your circumstances; that is regulated advice and it comes from the broker we introduce you to. We are independent: not owned by a bank, a lender or a comparison portal.

Who writes it
